Site Assessments
The overall
increase in environmental awareness has had a significant effect in work places
throughout Canada. Environmental Regulations in the province of British Columbia
now require businesses to take an increasingly pro-active approach to site contamination
issues.

Environmental awareness is an increasingly important part of corporate
culture.
Many property
owners and potential purchasers now routinely have Preliminary Site Investigations
(PSI's) carried out prior to the sale or purchase of a property and before major
renovations.
Most environmental
Legislation follows a "polluter pays" policy, citing directors and
company officers as potentially liable for the actions of a company.
While governments
will continue to struggle with such problems as pollution, safe working environments,
storage and disposal of hazardous materials, regulatory bodies are increasingly
vigilant and act independently of economic trends.
